Some ignorant things my mom said today just put me in the mood to rant about all of the horseshit that I’ve heard/experienced lately, specifically related to LGBT. I’ve been so annoyed with everything that my friends, family and my girlfriend’s family have said lately, that trying to be the “bigger person” is just not gonna happen right now. First off, don’t fucking tell me to “try and understand” why people are uncomfortable with me being a lesbian and in a same-sex relationship, or that it is hard for them - oh no, the poor, homophobic straight people. Are they the ones who are denied basic rights? Are they the ones who are told by their family members that they are a disgusting sin in this world? Are they beat or murdered simply for being themselves? NO. THEREFORE, IT IS NOT MY JOB TO WAIT FOR YOU TO EDUCATE YOURSELF ON SOMETHING THAT YOU HAVE ALREADY FORMED CLOSE-MINDED, HOMOPHOBIC OPINIONS ABOUT - (which may or may not ever even happen). If you can be that ignorant and idiotic, then you need to be fucking informed of just how ignorant and idiotic you are. There is NO excuse for hate.

My life has really got to the point where I feel almost NO support from any of my friends or family, who act like they are all supportive, but when it comes down to actually SHOWING IT, are nowhere to be found. And, now I am at the point where I am done with any bullshit from anyone. It’s stupid that some people think (more like, have showed me) that just because I am so passionate about LGBT rights, and always speaking out against hate and discrimination, that somehow - in their minds - I live this angry, miserable life, (all because I decide to stand up for myself and equality for everyone). If everyone just decided to keep quiet, shut their mouths when they are told to, and never speak up about discrimination, then the world today would be a very different place. So the next time someone tells me to think of the ~poor homophobic hateful straight people having a hard time dealing with me being gay~ ..I’ll be quick to tell them to shove it up their ass! :D
